Mahādeva, the great-souled one, having offered his very self in the sacrifice that is the total offering of all, became the God of gods. Pervading all the worlds and upholding them through his fame, the radiant Kṛttivāsā shines forth—his glory presented as the ethical ideal of complete self-surrender and supreme renunciation.

The verse elevates complete self-offering (ātma-samarpaṇa) as the highest form of sacrifice: by giving oneself wholly for the good of the whole, one attains supreme spiritual stature. Śiva’s radiance and world-pervading fame symbolize the ethical power of renunciation and self-transcendence.
Devsthāna describes Mahādeva as having performed the ‘all-sacrifice’ by offering his own self, thereby becoming Devadeva. He is portrayed as pervading and supporting all worlds through his glory, shining as the radiant Kṛttivāsā.
