Adhyāya 2: Nārada’s Disclosure—Karṇa’s Training and the Brahmin’s Curse (Śānti-parva)

रामस्तं प्रतिजग्राह पृष्टवा गोत्रादि सर्वश: । उष्यतां स्वागतं चेति प्रीतिमांश्नाभवद्‌ भूुशम्‌,परशुरामजीने गोत्र आदि सारी बातें पूछकर उसे शिष्यभावसे स्वीकार कर लिया और कहा--:वत्स! तुम यहाँ रहो। तुम्हारा स्वागत है।” ऐसा कहकर वे मुनि उसपर बहुत प्रसन्न हुए

rāmas taṃ pratijagrāha pṛṣṭvā gotrādi sarvaśaḥ | uṣyatāṃ svāgataṃ ceti prītimān abhavad bhūśam ||

Rāma (Paraśurāma) received him with due regard, first inquiring in full about his lineage and related particulars. Then, accepting him in the spirit of a disciple, he said, “Stay here, my child; you are welcome.” Having spoken thus, the sage became greatly pleased with him—an ethical model of hospitality, careful discernment, and benevolent acceptance within the teacher–student bond.
