इत्युक्तो5यं मया धर्म: संक्षिप्तो ब्रह्मनिर्मितः । धर्माधर्मा हि लोकस्य यो वै वेत्ति स बुद्धिमान्‌,इस प्रकार मैंने यहाँ ब्रह्माजीके द्वारा निर्मित इस धर्मका संक्षेपसे वर्णन किया है। जो लोकमें करने और न करने योग्य धर्म और अधर्मको जानता है, वही बुद्धिमान्‌ है

Translation

Bharadvāja said: “Thus have I described, in brief, this dharma established by Brahmā. Truly wise is the one who knows, in this world, what is to be done and what is not to be done—dharma and adharma.”
