इह वार्ता बहुविधा धर्माधर्मस्य कारिण: । यस्तद्वेदोभयं प्राज्ञ: पाप्मना न स लिप्यते,इस देशमें धर्म और अधर्म करनेवाले मनुष्योंके विषयमें नाना प्रकारकी बातें सुनी जाती हैं। जो धर्म और अधर्म दोनोंके परिणामको जानता है, वह विद्वान पुरुष पापसे लिप्त नहीं होता है
Translation
In this world, many kinds of accounts are heard concerning those who act in dharma and in adharma. The wise who knows the consequences of both—of dharma and of adharma—is not tainted by sin.
