When wind and water clashed in that great turmoil, the mighty Agni—radiant with blazing energy—manifested, his flames rising upward. Appearing, he dispelled the darkness from the sky, making the heavens clear.
भरद्वाज उवाच
The verse presents a symbolic ethic: when opposing forces collide, a higher clarifying power can emerge—like fire arising from friction—dispelling darkness (ignorance, confusion) and restoring luminous order.
During a fierce conflict between wind and water, Agni manifests as a powerful, radiant being with upward-leaping flames, and his appearance removes the darkness from the sky.
