Bhrigu–Bharadvaja Dialogue: A Karma-Based Account of Varṇa

अथ येषां पुन: पाणी देवदत्तौ दशाड्गुली । उद्धरन्ति कृमीनड्रादू दशतो निकषन्ति च,'परंतु जिनके पास भगवान्‌के दिये हुए दस अंगुलियोंसे युक्त दो हाथ हैं, वे अपने अंगोंसे उन कीड़ोंको हटाते या नष्ट कर देते हैं, जो उन्हें डँसते हैं

atha yeṣāṃ punaḥ pāṇī devadattau daśāṅgulī | uddharanti kṛmīn aḍrādū daśato nikaṣanti ca |

Bhīṣma said: “But those who possess two hands—God-given and furnished with ten fingers—use their own limbs to ward off or crush the biting worms that attack them.”
