Śānti-parva 168: Śoka-nivṛtti-buddhi (The Cognition that Reduces Grief) and Piṅgalā’s Nairāśya
स चापि तान् धर्मसुतो महामना- स्तदा प्रतीतान् प्रशशंस वीर्यवान् | पुनश्न पप्रच्छ सरिद्वरासुतं ततः परं धर्ममहीनचेतसम्,पराक्रमी धर्मपुत्र महामना युधिष्ठिरे भी उन समस्त विश्वासपात्र नरेशों एवं बन्धुजनोंकी प्रशंसा की और पुनः उदारचेता गड़ानन्दन भीष्मजीके पास आकर उनसे उत्तम धर्मके विषयमें प्रश्न किया
sa cāpi tān dharmasuto mahāmanās tadā pratītān praśaśaṁsa vīryavān | punaś ca papraccha saridvarāsutaṁ tataḥ paraṁ dharmam ahīnacetasaḥ ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana said: Then the high-souled son of Dharma, the valiant Yudhiṣṭhira, praised those trusted kings and kinsmen who had shown their loyalty. After that, with an untroubled and generous mind, he again approached Bhīṣma, the son of the best of rivers, and questioned him about the higher and more excellent principles of dharma.
