त्रिवर्गविचारः

Tri-varga Deliberation: Dharma, Artha, Kāma

यच्च पैतामहं स्थान ब्रह्म॒राशिसमुद्धवम्‌ । गुहायां पिहित॑ नित्यं तद्‌ दमेनाभिगम्यते,ब्रह्मराशिसे उत्पन्न हुआ जो पितामह ब्रह्माजीका उत्तम धाम है, वह हृदयगुहामें छिपा हुआ है। उसकी प्राप्ति सदा दम (इन्द्रियसंयम और मनोनिग्रह) से ही होती है

yac ca paitāmahaṃ sthānaṃ brahma-rāśi-samudbhavam | guhāyāṃ pihitaṃ nityaṃ tad damenābhigamyate ||

Bhishma said: “That supreme, ancestral abode—born of the Brahmic source—is ever concealed within the cave of the heart. It is reached only through dama: the disciplined restraint of the senses and the steady governance of the mind.”
