Educational Q&A

For a ruler, true purity is not merely ritual but the sincere acceptance and practice of a guiding dharmic principle; when internalized and lived out, it leads to the highest, most beneficial dharma.

Śaunaka addresses King Janamejaya in an instructive tone, emphasizing that a particular teaching (contextually, a set of purifying royal duties/virtues) is paramount for kings, and that adopting it properly will elevate Janamejaya to superior dharma.
