अथास्य बुद्धिरभवद् विधिनाहं श्वजाघनीम् । भक्षयामि यथाकामं पूर्व संतर्प्प देवता:,इतनेहीमें उनके मनमें यह विचार उठा कि मैं कुत्तेकी जाँघके इस मांसको विधिपूर्वक पहले देवताओंको अर्पण करूँगा और उन्हें संतुष्ट करके फिर अपनी इच्छानुसार उसे खाऊँगा
Translation
Then a thought arose in him: “I shall eat this dog’s thigh-flesh in due form. First I will offer it to the gods and satisfy them; only afterward will I eat it as I wish.”
