Dasyu-maryādā and Buddhi-guided Rāja-nīti (दस्युमर्यादा तथा बुद्धिप्रधान-राजनीति)

तयोरर्थ कृतज्ञा सा खेचरी पूजनी सदा । समुद्रतीरं सा गत्वा आजहार फलद्धयम्‌,आकाशमें विचरनेवाली वह कृतज्ञ पूजनी चिड़िया प्रतिदिन समुद्रतटपर जाकर वहाँसे उन दोनों बच्चोंके लिये दो फल ले आया करती थी

tayor artha-kṛtajñā sā khecarī pūjanī sadā | samudra-tīraṁ sā gatvā ājahāra phala-dvayam ||

Bhīṣma said: Grateful for what had been done for her, that sky-ranging bird—ever worthy of reverence—would go each day to the seashore and bring back two fruits for those two children.
