कार्यार्थे कृतसंधानौ दृष्टवा मार्जारमूषिकौ

Transliteration

kāryārthe kṛtasandhānau dṛṣṭvā mārjāramūṣikau

Translation

Bhīṣma said: “Seeing a cat and a mouse who had formed an understanding with each other to accomplish a certain task, I point to their pragmatic alliance: even natural enemies may unite for a time when driven by a shared aim, though such unions demand caution and discernment in conduct.”
