ततश्रिच्छेद तं पाशं मार्जारस्थ च मूषिक:,बिलं विवेश पलित: शाखां लेभे स लोमश: । तदनन्तर चूहेने बिलावका बन्धन काट दिया। जालसे छूटते ही बिलाव उसी पेड़पर चढ़ गया। उस घोर शत्रु तथा उस भारी घबराहटसे छुटकारा पाकर पलित अपने बिलमें घुस गया और लोमश वृक्षकी शाखापर जा बैठा
Translation
Then the mouse severed that noose. Palita entered his burrow, and Lomaśa gained a branch of the tree. After that, the mouse gnawed through the cat’s bonds as well. The moment it slipped free of the net, the cat sprang up onto that very tree. Released from a dreadful foe and from crushing terror, Palita slipped into his hole, while Lomaśa sat upon the branch.
