Kośa, Bala, and Maryādā: Treasury, Capacity, and Enforceable Limits (कोश-बल-मर्यादा)

बीजं भक्तेन सम्पाद्यमिति धर्मविदो विदु: । अन्रैतच्छम्बरस्याहुर्महामायस्य दर्शनम्‌,धर्मज्ञ पुरुषोंका कहना है कि मनुष्यको अपने भोजनके लिये संचित अन्नमेंसे भी बीजको बचाकर रखना चाहिये। इस विषयमें महामायावी शम्बरासुरका विचार भी ऐसा ही बताया गया है

bījaṃ bhaktena sampādyam iti dharmavido viduḥ | anṛtaicchambarasyāhur mahāmāyasya darśanam |

Bhishma said: Those who know dharma hold that one should secure seed-grain with devoted care—saving it even from one’s stored food. In this matter, the famed view attributed to Śambara, the great wielder of illusion among the asuras, is also said to be the same: preserve the seed, for it safeguards future sustenance and continuity.
