Vasuharoma said: “Bhagavān Viṣṇu bestowed it upon Aṅgiras. That best of sages, Aṅgiras, passed it on to Indra and Marīci; and Marīci, in turn, handed it over to Bhṛgu.” The verse underscores the ethical weight of a teaching or sacred trust being preserved through an authorized lineage rather than claimed by personal whim.
वसुहरोम उवाच
That sacred knowledge or authority should be received and transmitted through a legitimate lineage (paramparā), preserving integrity and accountability rather than being self-assumed.
Vasuharoma recounts a chain of transmission: Viṣṇu gives to Aṅgiras; Aṅgiras gives to Indra and Marīci; Marīci then gives to Bhṛgu—establishing an authoritative succession.
