Durgātitaraṇa—Conduct for Crossing Difficulties (दुर्गातितरणम्)

जो लोग प्राण जानेका अवसर उपस्थित होनेपर भी सत्य बोलना नहीं छोड़ते, वे सम्पूर्ण प्राणियोंके विश्वासपात्र बने रहकर सभी दु:खोंसे पार हो जाते हैं ।। कर्माण्यकुहकार्थानि येषां वाचश्व सूनृता: । येषामर्थाश्व सम्बद्धा दुर्गाण्यतितरन्ति ते

karmāṇy akuhakārthāni yeṣāṃ vācaś ca sūnṛtāḥ | yeṣām arthāś ca sambaddhā durgāṇy atitaranti te ||

Bhishma said: Those whose actions are free from deceit, whose speech is gentle and truthful, and whose words are consistent with their real intent—such people become trusted by all beings and thereby cross over even the hardest passages of suffering and danger.
