Sañjaya said: Both of them, equally inflamed with anger, were warriors of Bhīma-like might—each matching the other in fierce resolve as the battle’s fury rose.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how anger can equally seize opposing warriors, making them mirror each other in ferocity; it implicitly warns that wrath, though common in war, intensifies conflict and can eclipse discernment (viveka), even among the mighty.
Sañjaya describes two combatants facing each other in the Shalya Parva battle scene: both are equally enraged and possess tremendous prowess, likened to Bhīma’s strength, signaling an imminent, high-intensity clash.
