Vasiṣṭhāpavāha: Sarasvatī’s Diversion and Viśvāmitra’s Curse (वसिष्ठापवाहः)
ददौ कामान् ब्राह्मुणेभ्यो यान् यान् यो मनसेच्छति । शक्तिशाली राजा ययाति जब वहाँ यज्ञ कर रहे थे, उस समय उनकी उत्कृष्ट उदारताको दृष्टिमें रखकर और अपने प्रति उनकी सनातन भक्ति देख सरस्वतीने उस यज्ञमें आये हुए ब्राह्मणोंको, जिसने अपने मनसे जिन-जिन भोगोंको चाहा, वे सभी मनोवांछित भोग प्रदान किये

Vaiśampāyana said: Considering King Yayāti’s exceptional generosity while he was performing a sacrifice, and seeing his enduring devotion, Sarasvatī granted to the Brahmins who had come to that rite whatever enjoyments each one desired in his mind—bestowing all wished-for boons.
