Kapālamocana-tīrtha (Auśanasa) and Balarāma’s Sarasvatī Pilgrimage
ऋषिरुवाच कि न पश्यसि मे ब्रह्मन् कराच्छाकरसं स्रुतम्
ṛṣir uvāca: kiṁ na paśyasi me brahman karāc chākarasaṁ srutam
The sage said: “O Brahmin, do you not see the stream of sugarcane-juice flowing from my hand?”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores humility in judgment: extraordinary spiritual attainments may defy ordinary expectations, so one should be cautious about disbelief based solely on limited perception.
A sage addresses a Brahmin and points to a marvel—sugarcane juice flowing from his hand—using it as a demonstrative sign to confront doubt and establish the reality of his ascetic power.
