Even spiritually powerful beings and practices should be governed by restraint and appropriateness; when conduct becomes disruptive or excessive, wise intervention and a proper means (upāya) are sought to restore order.
Brahmā and other gods, along with austere sages, approach Mahādeva (Śiva) and request that he find a way to stop certain munis from dancing, indicating concern that their behavior is improper or destabilizing.
