नैमिषे काउ्चनाक्षी तु मुनीनां सत्रयाजिनाम्
naimiṣe kāñcanākṣī tu munīnāṃ satrayājinām
Vaiśampāyana said: In Naimiṣa, Kāñcanākṣī—present among the sages engaged in a sacrificial session (satra)—was there, setting the tale within the sanctified sphere of a long Vedic rite, where disciplined inquiry and remembrance of dharma are upheld.
