Sañjaya said: Hearing those noble, warrior-like words of King Duryodhana, the charioteer gently urged forward the horses, whose harness and trappings were covered with gold, and made them advance slowly in disciplined obedience.

Even amid war, action is ideally governed by restraint and role-based duty: the charioteer advances only as directed, slowly and under control, illustrating disciplined execution rather than reckless haste.
After Duryodhana speaks in a heroic manner, his charioteer responds by gently driving forward the gold-adorned horses, moving the chariot ahead in accordance with the king's words.
