Unrestrained Battle Description and Śakuni’s Rear Assault
घोररूपमसंवार्य निर्मर्यादमवर्तत । जैसे देहधारी जीवात्माका पाँचों इन्द्रियोंके साथ युद्ध हो रहा हो, उसी प्रकार उन पाँचों भाइयोंके साथ कृपाचार्यका युद्ध हो रहा था। धीरे-धीरे वह युद्ध अत्यन्त घोर, अनिवार्य और अमर्यादित हो गया
ghorarūpam asaṃvārya nirmaryādam avartata |
Sañjaya said: The battle turned terrifying—irresistible and beyond all bounds. As though a living being were struggling against the five senses, so did Kṛpācārya contend with the five brothers; and little by little the fighting grew exceedingly dreadful, unavoidable, and unrestrained, showing how war can erode restraint and dharmic limits.
