Duryodhana’s Arrow-Storm and the Dust-Obscured Engagements

चापवेगबलोद्धूतान्‌ मार्गणान्‌ वृष्णिसिंहयो: । आकाशे समपश्याम पतजड्भानिव शीघ्रगान्‌,वृष्णिवंशके उन दोनों सिंहोंके धनुषके वेग और बलसे चलाये हुए शीघ्रगामी बाणोंको हम आकाशगमें छाये हुए टिड्डीदलोंके समान देखते थे

cāpavegabaloddhūtān mārgaṇān vṛṣṇisiṃhayoḥ | ākāśe samapaśyāma pataṅgān iva śīghragān ||

Sañjaya said: “We beheld in the sky the swift arrows, driven forth by the force and speed of the bows of those two lion-like heroes of the Vṛṣṇi line, appearing like swarms of locusts spreading across the heavens.”
