राजन! तदनन्तर प्रतापी महाबाहु भीमसेन मनसे प्राणोंका मोह छोड़कर मद्रराज शल्यके साथ युद्ध करने लगे ।। नकुलः सहदेवश्व सात्यकिश्न महारथ: । परिवार्य तदा शल्यं समनन््ताद् व्यकिरन् शरै:,नकुल, सहदेव और महारथी सात्यकिने भी उस समय शल्यको घेरकर उनके ऊपर चारों ओरसे बाणोंकी वर्षा प्रारम्भ कर दी
sañjaya uvāca |
rājan! tadanantaraṁ pratāpī mahābāhur bhīmasenaḥ manasaḥ prāṇānāṁ mohaṁ chittvā madrarājaśalyena saha yuddhaṁ cakāra ||
nakulaḥ sahadevaś ca sātyakiś ca mahārathaḥ |
parivārya tadā śalyaṁ samantād vyakiran śaraiḥ ||
Sañjaya said: O King, thereafter the mighty, great-armed Bhīmasena—casting off the delusion that had seized his very life-breath—engaged in battle with Śalya, the king of Madra. Nakula, Sahadeva, and the great chariot-warrior Satyaki also surrounded Śalya then and began to shower him with arrows from all sides.
