Duryodhana’s Final Condition, Lamentation, and the Night’s Report

धिगस्तु कृतवर्माणं मां कृपं च महारथम्‌

Transliteration

dhig astu kṛtavarmāṇaṁ māṁ kṛpaṁ ca mahāratham

Translation

Sañjaya said: “Shame upon Kṛtavarmā—and upon me as well—and upon Kṛpa, that great chariot-warrior.” In this moment of moral recoil, he condemns the perpetrators (and himself) for a deed deemed ignoble within the warrior code, delivering a sharp ethical judgment amid the aftermath of night-violence.
