Shloka 8

सहदेवद्न मे पुत्र: सदावेक्ष्यो वने वसन्‌ । यथेदं व्यसन प्राप्प नायं सीदेन्महामति:,“बेटी! वनमें रहते हुए मेरे पुत्र सहदेवकी तुम सदा देखभाल रखना, जिससे यह परम बुद्धिमान सहदेव इस भारी संकटमें पड़कर दुःखी न होने पावे”

vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca | sahadevaṃ me putraḥ sadāvekṣyo vane vasan | yathedaṃ vyasanaṃ prāpya nāyaṃ sīden mahāmatiḥ ||

“My son Sahadeva, living in the forest, must be looked after by you at all times, so that, having fallen into this calamity, that great-minded one may not sink into grief.”
