idaṃ ca bhūyo vakṣyāmi sabhāmadhye bṛhad vacaḥ | satyaṃ devāḥ kariṣyanti yan no yuddhaṃ bhaviṣyati ||
And again, in the midst of this assembly, I will proclaim a weighty word: the gods will make my statement come true—when war arises between us, the Kauravas and the Pāṇḍavas.
A public vow grounded in satya (truth) and witnessed by the gods is presented as morally binding; Bhīma frames future retributive action as the inevitable consequence of adharma, aligning personal resolve with a larger ethical order.
In the royal assembly during the dice-hall crisis, Bhīma speaks again and makes a solemn, weighty declaration that the gods will confirm his words: war will occur between the Kauravas and Pāṇḍavas, and he will fulfill his vowed retaliation.
