तब दुर्योधन बोला--सूतपुत्र! जाकर कह दो, द्रौपदी यहीं आकर अपने इस प्रश्नको पूछे। यहीं सब सभासद्‌ उसके प्रश्न और युधिष्ठिरके उत्तरको सुनें ।। वैशम्पायन उवाच स गत्वा राजभवन दुर्योधनवशानुग: । उवाच द्रौपदी सूत: प्रातिकामी व्यथान्वित:,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! प्रातिकामी दुर्योधनके वशमें था, इसलिये वह राजभवनमें जाकर द्रौपदीसे व्यथित होकर बोला

vaiśampāyana uvāca | sa gatvā rājabhavanaṃ duryodhanavaśānugaḥ | uvāca draupadīṃ sūtaḥ prātikāmī vyathānvitaḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana said: Acting under Duryodhana’s control, Prātikāmī the sūta went to the royal residence. Distressed, he addressed Draupadī—conveying the command that she should come into the assembly and raise her question there, so that all the courtiers might hear both her challenge and Yudhiṣṭhira’s reply.
