Yudhiṣṭhira uvāca: ayaṃ sahasrasamito vaiyāghraḥ supratiṣṭhitaḥ | sucakropaskaraḥ śrīmān kiḍukiṇījālamaṇḍitaḥ ||
Yudhiṣṭhira said: “Here is a splendid chariot, firmly set and well-appointed—equipped with a full complement of a thousand (components/men), furnished with excellent wheels and fittings, and adorned with a net of small bells.”
युधिछिर उवाच
The verse highlights the ideal of orderly preparedness and dignified restraint in royal life: power and wealth are presented as properly arranged instruments, meant to support righteous conduct rather than mere display.
Yudhiṣṭhira is pointing out and describing a magnificent, well-equipped chariot—emphasizing its completeness, stability, and ornamentation—within the courtly setting of the Sabha Parva.
