Adhyāya 45 — Duryodhana’s Distress, Śakuni’s Counsel, and the Summons for Dyūta
अन्वगच्छंस्तथैवान्यान क्षत्रियान् क्षत्रियर्षभा: । एवं सुपूजिता: सर्वे जम्मुर्विप्रा: सहस्रश:,इसी प्रकार अन्य क्षत्रियशिरोमणियोंने दूसरे-दूसरे क्षत्रिय राजाओंका अनुगमन किया। इसी तरह सभी ब्राह्मण भी अत्यन्त पूजित हो सहस्रोंकी संख्यामें वहाँसे विदा हुए। राजाओं तथा ब्राह्मणोंके चले जानेपर प्रतापी भगवान् श्रीकृष्णने युधिषप्ठिससे कहा--
anvagacchaṃs tathaivānyān kṣatriyān kṣatriyarṣabhāḥ | evaṃ supūjitāḥ sarve jagmur viprāḥ sahasraśaḥ |
Vaiśampāyana said: In the same manner, those bull-like leaders among the Kṣatriyas followed after the other Kṣatriya kings. Likewise, the Brāhmaṇas too—honoured with the highest reverence—departed from there in their thousands. When the kings and the Brāhmaṇas had gone, the mighty Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa then addressed Yudhiṣṭhira.
