Among these snātakas, some observe special disciplines while others follow only the general rule. A kṣatriya who consistently upholds the special disciplines steadily attains prosperity and royal fortune.
श्रीकृष्ण उवाच
Prosperity and stable royal success are linked to disciplined conduct: a kṣatriya who goes beyond minimal duty and consistently follows higher, special observances (viśeṣa-niyama) is said to attain śrī—fortune, splendor, and legitimacy.
Śrīkṛṣṇa is describing categories of snātakas (those who have completed formal study and rites) and contrasting general versus special disciplines, then applying the point to kṣatriya life: sustained excellence in observance brings enduring prosperity.
