Educational Q&A

Prosperity and stable royal success are linked to disciplined conduct: a kṣatriya who goes beyond minimal duty and consistently follows higher, special observances (viśeṣa-niyama) is said to attain śrī—fortune, splendor, and legitimacy.

Śrīkṛṣṇa is describing categories of snātakas (those who have completed formal study and rites) and contrasting general versus special disciplines, then applying the point to kṣatriya life: sustained excellence in observance brings enduring prosperity.
