Vaiśampāyana said: Then, accompanied by Indrasena, he went to Indraprastha. In the flow of the narrative, this marks a prompt and respectful response to a message delivered through a trusted envoy—showing how rightful rulers and allies act without delay when duty, alliance, and the desire for a righteous meeting call them.

Educational Q&A

The verse underscores promptness and propriety in responding to a summons or message conveyed by a trusted messenger—an aspect of dharma in governance and alliance: timely action, respect for relationships, and readiness to meet for rightful purposes.

Vaiśampāyana narrates a movement: someone (contextually, a principal figure responding to the message) travels to Indraprastha together with Indrasena, indicating that the envoy’s role continues as escort/companion and that the meeting at the Pāṇḍavas’ capital is imminent.
