प्राच्छादयन् कर्णरथं क्षणेन युगान्तवहन्यर्ककरप्रकाशा: । भरतश्रेष्ठ अर्जुनके छोड़े हुए प्रलयकालीन सूर्य और अग्निकी किरणोंके समान प्रकाशित होनेवाले दस हजार बाणोंने क्षणभरमें कर्णके रथको आच्छादित कर दिया ।। ततश्न शूलानि परश्चधानि चक्राणि नाराचशतानि चैव
Translation
In an instant, ten thousand arrows—shot by Arjuna, foremost of the Bharatas—shining like the sun’s and fire’s rays at the end of an age, covered Karṇa’s chariot completely. Then there appeared spears, axes, discus-blades, and hundreds of nārāca arrows as well.
