Sañjaya said: Having struck down that (weapon/measure) of his, Karṇa shone forth, releasing arrows like a cloud pouring down sheets of rain. Seeing that his own missile had thus been destroyed by Karṇa in the midst of battle, the diademed Arjuna stood confronted with Karṇa’s prowess. The scene underscores how martial brilliance and resolve can overturn even formidable stratagems, while the warriors remain bound to their chosen duties amid the moral weight of fratricidal war.
