हयांश्व नागांश्व रथांश्व युध्यतो धनंजय: शत्रुगणान् क्षितौ क्षिणोत् परंतु अर्जुनने अपने हाथके बाणों और क्षुरोंद्वारा उन सबके उत्तम-उत्तम अस्त्रोंको काट डाला। शत्रुओंके मस्तक कट-कटकर गिरने लगे। अर्जुनने विपक्षियोंके घोड़ों, हाथियों और रथोंको तथा युद्धमें तत्पर हुए उन शत्रुओंको भी पृथ्वीपर काट गिराया
Transliteration
sañjaya uvāca | hayāṁś ca nāgāṁś ca rathāṁś ca yudhyato dhanañjayaḥ śatrugaṇān kṣitau kṣiṇot |
Translation
Sañjaya said: Dhanañjaya (Arjuna), in the thick of battle, struck the enemy host down to the ground—cutting down their horses, elephants, and chariots, and felling the warriors who pressed forward to fight. With his arrows and razor-edged shafts he severed their finest weapons, and the enemies’ heads fell, one after another.
