Sañjaya said: Kindled by a longing for battle, the mighty monkey—serving as the banner of the wielder of Gāṇḍīva—swiftly sprang from his own place and took position facing Karṇa’s standard. As the confrontation intensifies, Hanūmān—mounted as the emblem on Arjuna’s chariot—becomes battle-eager and swiftly shifts from his usual position to stand opposite Karṇa’s standard, marking a dramatic, ominous challenge and a protective assertion on Arjuna’s side.
