देवाधिदेव ब्रह्मा और महादेवजीके ऐसा कहनेपर इन्द्रने सम्पूर्ण प्राणियोंको बुलाकर उन दोनोंकी आज्ञा सुनायी ।। श्रुतं भवद्धिर्यत्‌ प्रोक्ते भगवद्धयां जगद्धितम्‌ | तत्तथा नान्यथा तद्धि तिष्ठध्वं विगतज्वरा:,वे बोले--“हमारे पूज्य प्रभुओंने संसारके हितके लिये जो कुछ कहा है, वह सब तुमलोगोंने सुन ही लिया होगा। वह वैसे ही होगा। उसके विपरीत होना असम्भव है; अतः अब निश्चिन्त हो जाओ!

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca | śrutaṃ bhavadbhir yat prokte bhagavadbhyāṃ jagaddhitam | tat tathā nānyathā taddhi tiṣṭhadhvaṃ vigatajvarāḥ ||

Translation

Sanjaya said: “You have heard what was declared by the two divine Lords for the welfare of the world. It shall be exactly so and not otherwise; it cannot turn out contrary to that. Therefore remain steadfast, free from anxiety.”
