तदुपश्रुत्य मघवा प्रणिपत्य पितामहम्
tadupaśrutya maghavā praṇipatya pitāmaham
Sañjaya said: “Hearing that, Maghavā (Indra) bowed down in reverence before the Grandsire, acknowledging his superior authority and the weight of what had been spoken.”
संजय उवाच
Even the most powerful must show humility before rightful authority; reverence to the ‘grandsire’ symbolizes acceptance of a higher dharmic and cosmic order beyond personal power.
Sañjaya reports that Indra, after hearing the preceding statement or event, approaches and prostrates before Pitāmaha, marking a moment of deference and acknowledgment within the divine or cosmic hierarchy.
