मुनयश्लारणा: सिद्धा वैनतेया वयांसि च
munayaś cāraṇāḥ siddhā vainateyā vayāṁsi ca
Sañjaya said: “Sages, celestial bards (Cāraṇas), perfected beings (Siddhas), and the winged followers of Vainateya (Garuda) as well—were assembled there.”

The verse underscores that human conflict is witnessed by higher orders of beings; deeds in war are not merely political acts but carry moral and cosmic significance, inviting accountability beyond the battlefield.
Sañjaya lists the classes of exalted beings—sages, Cāraṇas, Siddhas, and Garuda-associated winged beings—who are present as observers, heightening the epic scale of the events being described.
