Sañjaya said: In the same manner, Vṛṣasena struck Śrī Kṛṣṇa with nine arrows, and then again wounded Pārtha (Arjuna) with ten. The scene underscores the relentless intensity of battle, where even the charioteer-guide is not spared, and Arjuna endures repeated blows while remaining steadfast in his duty as a warrior.

The verse highlights steadfastness in svadharma amid adversity: even when repeatedly wounded and when one’s guide (Kṛṣṇa as charioteer) is attacked, the warrior must maintain composure, courage, and disciplined action rather than collapsing into fear or rage.
Sañjaya reports that the opposing warrior (implied by context as Vṛṣasena) shoots nine arrows at Kṛṣṇa and then again strikes Arjuna with ten arrows, intensifying the duel and showing the sustained pressure on Arjuna’s chariot.
