hateṣu teṣu vīreṣu pradudrāva balaṃ tava
Sañjaya said: When those heroes had been slain, your army broke and fled—its courage collapsing in the face of that destruction.
संजय उवाच
Martial strength is fragile when rooted only in numbers and pride; once key warriors fall, fear spreads and an army’s cohesion dissolves, revealing the ethical cost and instability inherent in war.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that after certain prominent heroes were killed, the Kaurava forces lost heart and fled from the battlefield.
