ततः क्रुद्धो महाराज भीमसेन: प्रतापवान्
tataḥ kruddho mahārāja bhīmasenaḥ pratāpavān
Sañjaya said: Then Bhīmasena, the mighty and valorous warrior, became enraged, O King—his wrath rising in response to the unfolding violence of battle and the demands of vengeance and duty.

The verse highlights how intense emotions like anger arise amid war, yet in the epic context they are often framed within kṣatriya-dharma—where personal wrath is intertwined with perceived duty, justice, and the momentum of battle.
Sañjaya reports to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Bhīma becomes furious, signaling an imminent escalation—Bhīma is about to act with force and valor in the ongoing combat of the Karṇa Parva.
