अर्जुनकर्णसंनिपातवर्णनम् / The Convergence of Arjuna and Karṇa

अमर्षजं निकृतिसमीरणेरितं हृदि स्थितं ज्वलनमिमं सदा मम | हतो मया सोउ्द्य समेत्य कर्ण इति ब्रुवन्‌ प्रशमयसे5द्य फाल्गुन

Transliteration

amarṣajaṁ nikṛti-samīraṇa-eritaṁ hṛdi sthitaṁ jvalanam imaṁ sadā mama | hato mayā saudyam sametya karṇa iti bruvan praśamayase ’dya phālguna ||

Translation

Yudhiṣṭhira said: “This blazing fire within my heart—born of resentment and fanned by the wind of deceit—has always dwelt in me. Yet today, O Phālguna, you soothe it by declaring: ‘Karna has been slain by me in fair combat, meeting him face to face.’”
