ते वध्यमाना: कर्णेन पञज्चालाश्रेदिभि: सह । तत्र तत्र व्यमुहान्त वनदाहे यथा द्विपा:,जैसे वनमें आग लगनेपर उसमें रहनेवाले हाथी जहाँ-तहाँ दग्ध होकर मूर्च्छित हो जाते हैं, उसी प्रकार कर्णके द्वारा मारे जानेवाले पांचाल और चेदि योद्धा यत्र-तत्र मूर्च्छित होकर पड़े थे
Translation
Slain by Karna, the warriors of the Panchalas and the Cedis lay fainted and fallen here and there—like elephants in a forest when a wildfire breaks out, scorched and collapsing in scattered places.
