कर्णपुत्रवधः (The Fall of Vṛṣasena) — Karṇa Parva, Adhyāya 62
तुरगैरग्रयरंहोभिययात्वा भीमस्य शुष्मिणौ | अनीकै: सहितौ तत्र भ्रातरौ समवस्थितौ,छ्प्प्य “चाचा तदनन्तर दूसरे रथपर बैठकर रथियोंमें श्रेष्ठ नकूल और तेजस्वी सहदेव--वे दोनों शत्रुसूदन बन्धु तीव्र वेगवाले घोड़ोंद्वारा भीमसेनके पास जा पहुँचे। फिर वे दोनों बलवान् भाई भीमसेनके सैनिकोंके साथ खड़े होकर युद्ध करने लगे
turagair agrayaṁhobhir yayātvā bhīmasya śuṣmiṇau | anīkaiḥ sahitau tatra bhrātarau samavasthitau ||
Mounted on swift horses of the finest speed, the two spirited brothers—Nakula and the valiant Sahadeva—rode up to Bhīmasena. There, standing together with Bhīma’s battle-formations, the brothers took their place and engaged in the fight, embodying fraternal solidarity and disciplined duty amid the chaos of war.
