Arjuna Breaks the Encirclement; Bhīma Reinforces
त॑ चानुयान्ति संरब्धा: पञ्चाला युद्धदुर्मदा: । युधिष्ठिरं महात्मानं परीप्सन्तो महाबला:,“रणदुर्मद महाबली पांचाल-सैनिक महात्मा युधिष्ठिरकी रक्षा करते हुए बड़े रोष और आवेशमें भरकर उनके साथ जा रहे हैं
taṁ cānuyānti saṁrabdhāḥ pañcālā yuddha-durmadāḥ | yudhiṣṭhiraṁ mahātmānaṁ parīpsanto mahābalāḥ ||
Sañjaya said: Enraged and intoxicated with the fury of battle, the mighty Pāñcāla warriors followed close behind, intent on safeguarding the great-souled Yudhiṣṭhira. Their wrath was not mere aggression, but protective resolve—standing by their leader as duty demands amid the chaos of war.
संजय उवाच
Even in war, power and anger are ethically framed by duty: the Pāñcālas channel battle-fury into protective loyalty, upholding their obligation to safeguard the righteous king rather than pursuing violence for its own sake.
Sañjaya reports that the Pāñcāla fighters, stirred up and formidable in combat, move along with (and behind) Yudhiṣṭhira, determined to protect him as the battle intensifies.
