The verse frames war as an event under cosmic observation: valor and conduct are witnessed not only by humans but by the divine order. This underscores ethical accountability in battle—heroism is meaningful when aligned with dharma, and actions carry significance beyond immediate victory or loss.
As the fierce fighting begins, the text depicts a grand gathering of gods, Apsarases, and all beings who assemble at the battlefield to watch the foremost human warriors. It heightens the drama and signals that the coming deeds are momentous and world-shaping.
