तलशब्देन रुषितौ यथा नागौ महावने । जैसे विशाल वनमें तालीकी आवाजसे कुपित हुए दो हाथी दौड़े आ रहे हों, उसी प्रकार क्रोधमें भरे हुए वे दोनों पुरुषसिंह बड़े वेगसे बढ़े आ रहे थे ।। ९४ $ ।। विगाहा तु रथानीकमश्चसंघांश्व फाल्गुन:

tālaśabdena ruṣitau yathā nāgau mahāvane | tathā krodhabharau tau dvau puruṣasiṃhau mahāvegād ājagmatū ||

Sañjaya said: As two elephants in a vast forest, provoked by the sharp slap upon a tāla palm, come charging forward in fury, so those two lion-like heroes—filled with wrath—surged ahead with tremendous speed.
