अर्जुनस्य शीघ्रप्रयाणं भीम-शकुनियुद्धं च

Arjuna’s Rapid Advance and the Bhīma–Śakuni Encounter

यज्वभिर्विधिनाहूतौ मखे देवाविवाश्विनौ । जैसे यज्ञमें ऋत्विजोंद्वारा विधिपूर्वक आवाहन किये जानेपर दोनों अश्विनीकुमार नामक देवता पदार्पण करते हैं, उसी प्रकार युद्धनिपुण वे श्रीकृष्ण और अर्जुन भी मानो आह्वान किये जानेपर उस रणयज्ञमें पधारे थे

yajvabhir vidhināhūtau makhe devāv ivāśvinau |

Sañjaya said: Just as the twin Aśvin gods arrive at a sacrificial rite when the officiating priests invoke them according to proper rule, so too did Śrī Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna—masters of battle—seem to enter that ‘sacrifice of war’ as though they had been duly summoned.
